FIA Region I presents at the ITS World Congress

    21 November 2019

From 21 to 25 October 2019, FIA Region I participated at the 26th Intelligent Transport Systems World Congress, the world’s leading transport technology congress, which took place in Singapore.

With a comprehensive format of plenary and interactive sessions, as well as a dynamic exhibition with technical demonstrations and tours, the event remained a memorable opportunity for stakeholders to network, discuss and share ground-breaking transport technology.

The President of FIA Region I, Thomas Møller Thomsen held a presentation on ‘Sharing data as the backbone of Sustainable Transport’. He highlighted ACI’s launch of Infomobility & Luceverde as successful traffic and mobility sharing information platform. He also mentioned current data sourcing obstacles such as sharing and connecting data with local authorities that FIA member Clubs are currently facing. He concluded with the EU legal framework which aims at overcoming such challenges.

Furthermore, four of FIA Region I’s EU projects (ARCADE, AUTOPILOT, C-MobILE and L3Pilot) contributing to the deployment of smart mobility were represented at the congress.
