    Club news: RACE takes a leading role in the Spanish Child Road Safety Alliance

    For the first time in Spain, manufacturers of child restraint systems, dealers of children seats and automobile Clubs have come together in an alliance to reduce the number of child victims, injuries and fatalities in accidents on roads and streets. The Spanish Child Road Safety Alliance is led by Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) and aims to reach Vision Zero or zero road deaths among children.

    Other notable stakeholders include Royal Automobile Club of Cataluña (RACC) and Royal Automobile Club of Basque Country and Navarre (RACVN), universities, hospital emergency departments, the Directorate General of Traffic (DGT), the Catalan Traffic Service, the Basque Country Traffic Department, the National Child Safety Association, Members of Community School and local police associations.

    The Alliance was launched at the Spanish Parliament of Deputies, on an event with the presence of several experts sharing their experiences on their fields of expertise. The final agreement, led by RACE, was signed by more than 40 brands including all sectors related to child road safety.
