FIA Region I invites you to attend the final event for the CAPITAL (Collaborative cApacity Programme on ITS Training-educAtion and Liaison) project, taking place in Rome on 25 September.

The event, under the title “Creating a Smart City”, will address Smart Road technologies, provide guidelines for the implementation of ITS and C-ITS in cities and illustrate the cost and benefits related to ITS and C-ITS, via trainings and panel debates (see here the draft agenda). CAPITAL supports public and private stakeholders in the implementation of ITS and C-ITS through training activities. The main goal of the project is to create a collaborative capacity building community, while also raising awareness of the services and benefits available. By assisting stakeholders in developing their skills, knowledge, and abilities to build technical, business and policy-making proficiency of ITS deployment, CAPITAL also supports furthering career paths.

FIA Region I supports CAPITAL by engaging stakeholders in ITS and establishing communities, assessing the capacity needs and knowledge gaps, developing educational and informational materials, and organising showcases while exploiting the collaborative capacity building programme.
