Forum for Mobility puts commercial vehicles and CO2 in the spotlight

    27 November 2018

The Forum for Mobility and Society, which includes FIA Region I as a member organisation, is putting on an event in Brussels on 6 December that will explore what is expected from EU efforts to reduce CO2 emissions from commercial vehicles.

The event comes at a delicate point in negotiations taking place within the European Council and follows the adoption of a European Parliament report on the European Commission’s proposal that includes CO2 reduction targets for both 2025 and 2030.

The conference will take the form of a panel debate and discussion will be prompted by the question: “Cutting CO2 emissions from commercial vehicles: Can the Institutions get the Compromises right?”.

Matthias Maedge (IRU General Delegate Permanent Delegation to the EU) will deliver the keynote speech. Panelists include representatives from the European Commission, Member States and a range of industry and NGO stakeholders. A Cocktail reception will follow the discussions.

The event takes place on 6 December, between 17.00 and 20.00. To register follow this link.
