From 3 to 5 March 2020, FIA Region I participated in the 3rd ARCADE Consortium meeting, to discuss the first-year achievements of ARCADE and planned the work for the remainder of the project.
During the first year, ARCADE achieved several milestones such as the launch of the CAD (connected and automated driving) Knowledge Base, the organisation of the EUCAD2019 Conference in Brussels, as well as a newly initiated cooperation between ARCADE and the CCAM (Cooperative, Connected, Automated and Autonomous Mobility) Single Platform.
Furthermore, ARCADE provided key input to the ERTRAC roadmap on connected and automated driving and the European Commission’s STRIA Roadmap on Connected and Automated Transport.
When it comes to next steps, FIA Region I – as the leader of the work on the CAD Knowledge Base – will intensify cooperation with the European Member States as part of the CCAM Single Platform and add national projects to its database on R&I projects. In addition, ARCADE will be organising the EUCAD2020 Symposium during TRA2020 in Helsinki on 28 and 29 April.
