For 50 years, the Touring Club Switzerland (TCS) has been testing children’s seats: since April 1968, when the first test results were published, TCS has tested 749 child seats.
These independent tests provide parents with important information for the purchase and correct handling of the seats and establish high standards for manufacturers as well as legislators.
To mark this anniversary, TCS has conducted a crash simulation together with the Dynamic Test Center. The test revealed that in case of a crash, risks of head injuries double if children are unproperly secured. This is a worrisome result given that every second child is not properly secured, according to statistics.
TCS is using the anniversary year to reiterate its commitment towards improving vehicle safety for children.
