Polski Związek Motorowy (PZM) official appraiser, Ryszard Ciechański spoke on the struggle to combat mileage fraud at a Fighting Odometer Fraud debate. He showed how difficult it is to prove that mileage fraud has happened. In addition, it is very challenging to prove that the price of a car that has been tampered with is significantly higher than the price of the same car with its real mileage. Compounding these facts, mileage fraud is also not recognised as a crime in Poland.
