    Jorge F. Delgado re-elected as FIA Region I President

    8 May 2025 – The FIA Region I Plenary Assembly has re-elected Jorge F. Delgado for a second term as the FIA Region I President for Europe, Middle East and Africa.

    The election was held during the FIA Region I Spring Meeting in Marrakesh, Morocco where over 200 delegates were in attendance.

    Delgado will be the Region’s president until Spring 2029 and will be responsible for leading and representing the best interests of mobility clubs across the network.

    Upon his re-election, Delgado stated, “It is an honour to have been entrusted a second term by the Member Clubs of the FIA Region I. I am proud of what we have achieved so far and look forward to my upcoming mandate to further strengthen our network’s expertise and mobility activities.”

    On top of his responsibilities at the FIA, Delgado is CEO of the Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) and serves as Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Advisory Board of the ARC Europe Group, is a trustee of the RACE Foundation, and sits in the governing bodies of the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) – CIFAL Madrid Centre, and the executive and governing bodies of the Jarama racetrack.

    A telecommunications engineer by trade, Delgado has executive diplomas in General Management from the IESE business school, and Artificial Intelligence from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
