The Real Automóvil Club de Cataluña’s (RACC) mechanical, medical and personal assistance service has been granted the ISO 14001 Environmental Management certificate, which endorses the good environmental practices of a department that responds to 900,000 calls every year in Spain. The General Manager of the RACC, Xavier Pérez, received the quality certificate by Carla Debat, Operations Manager of Applus+, the international worldwide benchmark in the field of testing, inspection and certification.

Amongst other initiatives, the RACC’s assistance service has updated its own fleet of workshop vehicles with eco-friendly cars and motorcycles, including 100% electric and hybrid models, as well as implementing a very strict recycling policy and promoting efficient driving training for its mechanics who deal with call-outs.
