The Caravan and Motorhome Club (CAMC) participated in an epic 5,000-mile challenge, across 21 countries in 21 days. Taking in some of Europe’s most spectacular landscapes and destinations, the challenge was designed to inspire members and others to explore further afield and have some unforgettable experiences on the way.
The group left Bristol in south-west England in two caravans and one motorhome on 9 April. The tour encompassed France, Switzerland, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, Albania, Macedonia, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, before returning to the UK. They made it to Istanbul on Day 11 with CAMC Director General, Nick Lomas, at the wheel of the Club’s Towcar of the Year, the Skoda Kodiaq, towing a Bailey Pursuit caravan as the group crossed the bustling Galata Bridge in central Istanbul.
