    Membership & Events Officer

    Founded in 1904, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) brings together leading national motoring organisations from 146 countries worldwide and is the governing body for world motor sport. The FIA Region I office, based in Brussels, is a consumer body representing 100 Motoring and Touring Clubs and their 36 million members from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.     Place: FIA Region I office in Brussels, Belgium (up to 8 days/month from home or other location in Europe)

    Job duration: 1-year contract, full-time

    We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time Membership & Events Officer for a 1-year contract, to support the preparation and organisation of networking and capacity building activities and events for the FIA Region I.


    Tasks and responsibilities:

    The ideal candidate shows interest in organising events for a membership organisation and is looking for a new challenge in a small, multicultural team in Brussels.

    • Support the preparation and organisation of events (before, during and after)
    • Assist in the deployment of various capacity building resources for Clubs (digital tools, webinars, training opportunities, mentoring, award programmes)
    • Assist with the Region I websites (CMS, content creation, online registration, etc.)
    • Support our EU Projects team (mainly in terms of communication and dissemination)


    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills

    • Excellent organisational and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to keep calm under pressure, and problem solver
    • Eager to learn
    • Willingness to travel (10-20%)
    • Teamplayer, willing to support other departments when needs arise
    • The working language is English, and any additional European language is an asset
    • A bachelor’s degree and proven experience (3-5 years)
