    Membership & Events Officer


    Founded in 1904, the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) brings together leading national motoring organizations from 146 countries worldwide and is the governing body for world motor sport. The FIA Region I office, based in Brussels, is a consumer body comprising 100 Mobility Clubs that represent over 40 million members from across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.     Location: Brussels with flexible remote work options (up to 8 days/month, including from other European locations)

    Job duration: 1-year contract, full-time

    Key responsibilities

    • Organise and support the preparation of Mobility events (before, during and after): the Membership & Events Officer will have a portfolio of Mobility events that he/she/they will have full ownership of, and others where he/she/they act in a support function as part of a team.
    • Financial oversight for events, including supplier negotiations, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
    • Assist in the deployment of various capacity building resources for Clubs (digital tools, webinars, training opportunities, mentorings, award programmes, conducting member surveys).
    • Assist with the Region I websites (CMS, content creation, online registrations, etc.).
    • Collaboration with the Communications Manager and the EU Projects Manager as support needs arise.


    Who are we looking for?

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with 1-5 years of professional experience.
    • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and a member-oriented mindset.
    • Proven networking abilities and relationship-building skills within a member-based organization.
    • Ability to keep calm under pressure with a keen problem-solving aptitude.
    • Demonstrated enthusiasm and willingness to acquire new knowledge and skills.
    • Teamplayer, willing to support other departments when needs arise as part of a small office environment.
    • Proficiency in English, and any additional European language considered a plus.
    • Willingness to travel (10-20%).

    • Monthly gross salary ranging from 2.200 EUR to 3.000 EUR based on relevant professional experience and skills.
