Club news: ACP road patrols take selfies during on-the-spot roadside assistance

    30 August 2017

Road patrol teams from Automóvel Club de Portugal (ACP) have started to take selfies with Club members following roadside assistance. Although ACP has a reputation for towing cars, its road patrol teams have a 94% success rate of fixing breakdowns on-the-spot. Essentially, ACP is sending a mobile repair shop and a mechanic to the breakdown, fixing the problem and charging only for the spare parts.

To showcase the excellent work of the breakdown service staff and increase interaction between the Club and its members, the road patrol teams have started taking selfies with members during roadside assistance and (with the proper authorisation) share these selfies with members’ comments on social media, especially Facebook.

This initiative is succeeding in promoting the Club’s successes in repair-on-the-spot. It is also giving the members an experience to be part of the Club.
