Since its launch first in 2015, BMF Juniors Camp has continued its journey of creating an experience that brings together the passion of youngsters for motorsport in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The camp began in its first edition with approximately 30 participants, who were children of marshals. Over the years, Bahrain motor federation decided to expand the participation and give all car enthusiasts between the ages of 12 and 16 the opportunity to experience the camp and learn more about motorsport.
As the camp grew, Bahrain motor federation discovered a wide community of youngsters who were interested in motorsport and eager to learn more about it. One of the camp’s main goals therefore became to teach young people about motorsport in a safe way, introduce them to its different aspects, and promote a culture of road safety.
One of the most beautiful aspects of the camp’s journey is that some participants who joined the camp as children returned in recent editions as organizers, playing an important role and leaving their own mark on the success and organization of the camp. This transformed the experience from simply being a participant into a continuous journey from learning to giving back.
In this edition, the camp welcomed 150 participants, including 40 girls and 110 boys, and 40 marshals, both male and female, serving as organizers.
The program covered a variety of topics, 10 lecturers, including motorsport, marshal basics, first aid, security and safety, and road safety, in addition to activities, questions based on previous lectures, and five visits inside and outside Bahrain International Circuit.
From 30 participants … to 150 participants, the story continues, and with it grows a new passion for motorsport.
