07 September 2025, Brussels – FIA Region I launches its annual road safety campaign with a simple message: on the road, everyone needs your attention. Avoid distractions.
FIA Region I road safety campaigns focus on a different road safety challenge each year. This year’s campaign, under the theme “Everyone Needs Your Attention”, highlights how even brief moments of distraction can put all road users at risk.
At the heart of the campaign is a simple idea: distraction does not only mean taking your eyes off the road. It means taking your attention away from the people around you. By shifting the focus back to the people sharing our streets and roads, the campaign encourages road users to remain present and recognise that everyone around them may depend on their attention. The message is clear: on the road, everyone needs your attention. Avoid distractions.
‘’When our attention is diverted on the road, we risk missing what is happening around us. A pedestrian, a cyclist, or another driver may depend on us being alert. Staying focused is essential to protecting ourselves and everyone we share the road with.” said Diogo Pinto, FIA Region I Director General.
With a record 45 FIA Region I Member Clubs participating, the 2026 campaign will be rolled out across 24 languages in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, giving the message its widest Club reach to date.
The campaign is supported by the FIA Foundation and the FIA Safe and Sustainable Mobility Grants Programme and will run until August 2027.
