The Arab Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTAC) formally became a sub-region of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) Region I in early 2009. The goal of ACTAC is to unite the Arabic speaking FIA clubs of the region to shape the future of motoring throughout the Arab world.

The Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE has signed a bilateral agreement with the Federal Customs Authority to implement an International Road Transport (TIR) system in the United Arab Emirates.

The Formula 4 Championship was launched in the United Arab Emirates and it will be organised by the Automobile and Touring Club for United Arab Emirates. It is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa.

ACTAC Management Meeting 2013

The ACTAC Management Workshop aimed to provide Clubs with the opportunity to exchange best practices, new ideas, and past experiences with one another. The workshop also took a look at how ACTAC Clubs can contribute to the goals of the Action for Road Safety campaign through grants and public events.
