Club news: AMZS reminds holiday makers about vignettes for car trips in Slovenia

Publication date: 17 April 2014

As the tourist season is approaching, Auto-Moto Zveza Slovenije (AMZS) is reminding local and foreign motorists that the use of a vignette is mandatory on Slovenian motorways and expressways. The 2014 vignettes have a new toll-rate category (2B) for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes measuring more than 1.30 metres above the front axle. An annual vignette for vehicles belonging to the new toll-rate category costs 220 EUR, a monthly vignette costs 80 EUR and a weekly vignette costs 40 EUR. Road users should also note that a vignette (2A) is required for personal vehicles with a trailer (including caravans) regardless of height.
