Club news: ACTAC success with International Driving Permit website

Following a Pan Arabic digital marketing campaign, there has been an increase of 425% to the number of visitors to the International Driving Permit (IDP) website ( This initiative of the Arab Council of Touring and Automobile Clubs (ACTAC)  consisted of SEO in Arabic and English, and Google Ad words.


The aim of the new FIA/AIT website is to provide accurate information about IDP to the global motoring public and to drive traffic to member clubs. Before the campaign, the Nordic countries were the primary users of the site, twenty days later and Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the UAE have become leading markets to access the site,


An IDP Marketing workshop is planned by ACTAC at the General Assembly that will include a detailed review of the summer campaign and the relevant Google Analytics generated. The ACTAC campaign is the first pan regional marketing campaign undertaken by a group of FIA member clubs.
