Club news: Tanzania prepares for the 2014 Africa Rally Championship

Publication date: 04 April 2014

Taking place on 14-15 June, the Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT) is preparing for the Africa Rally Championship. The course will span 350 kilometres within Dar es Salaam and coastal regions.

The African Rally Championship holds eight rounds throughout the African continent. Tanzania is fourth, followed by Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and the rally ends in Madagascar. Participants coming from each country and Tanzanian drivers will compete for the Continental championship, as the event also represents the perfect opportunity for Tanzanian drivers to earn points towards a national motor rally title.

The AAT has also announced a new sponsor, the Oryx Oil Company, to further increase the quality and visibility of the event.
