On 1 December, the Presidents of the Touring and Automobile Club of the Islamic Republic of Iran (TACI) and Auto-Moto Zveza Slovenije (AMZS) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for cooperation in the fields of tourism, road safety, and roadside assistance services. Both Clubs agreed to cooperate within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding in the following priority areas:

  1. Cooperation to offer roadside assistance services to the tourists of each party traveling to the land of the other party by motor vehicles

  2. Cooperation to enhance professional knowledge and road patrolmen skills in the field of road side assistance services

  3. Exchange of experiences on road safety projects and programs

  4. Cooperation on the exchange of experiences in attracting members and tourists

Activities following this agreement include an annual meeting to discuss roadside assistance and tourism services, in particular with regard to carnet de passage and international driving permits. The Clubs plan to organise meetings, joint training programmes and enhance cooperation with the private sector and non-governmental organisations.
