Club news: RACE road safety prize winning film recognised by UNECE

Publication date: 03 April 2017

Royal Automobile Club of Spain (RACE) together with Goodyear organise an annual National Short Film Award on Road Safety Education, with the aim of promoting road safety among the children in Spain. This year, the short film "Keep your eyes open" by the school Petit Atelier d'Arts came second place in the competition. This film was later awarded a special prize by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) as the Best Road Safety Film in Spanish.

RACE views this award as an honourable acknowledgement for its efforts in promoting road safety in Spain. Since its first launch in 2013, over 1,500 students have participated in this project that RACE views as a way to minimise road accidents now and in the future by influencing the behaviour of children. This competition is also supported by the Ministry of Education, the General Directorate of Traffic, the Office of Highway Safety and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in Spain.
