Club news: RACC launches eco-friendly electric breakdown-assistance vehicles

Publication date: 08 March 2017

From this month, the Reial Automňbil Club de Catalunya (RACC) is taking another step to encourage environmentally-friendly mobility by adding the new Renault Kangoo-ZE to its fleet of breakdown-assistance vehicles. These new workshop vehicles are 100% electric, which contributes to reducing emissions and improving air quality, while guaranteeing a 91% on-the-spot repair rate for customers.

The RACC's breakdown-assistance service scored highly in customer satisfaction surveys that completed regularly by RACC members, reaching 9.11 out of 10 points. With the new additions of eco- friendly cars, RACC continues to affirm its strong commitment to the environment without compromising its high standards of service, particularly regarding the 24-hour car service it provides.

In recent years, electric and hybrid vehicles have become a genuine option for consumers. It is also becoming apparent that integrating eco-friendly cars in car services and company fleets is one of the key factors in reducing the levels of emissions pollutants. For this reason, RACC has been working on the European I-CVUE project, which makes regular audits of company car fleets to oversee large-scale implementation of electric cars.
