Club news: MCM brings road safety messages to Moroccan children

Publication date: 07 February 2017

On 21 January, the Mobilité Club Maroc (MCM) met with the members of the Children’s Parliament at the International University of Rabat. More than 100 Moroccan children representing all regions of the country took part and learned about the severity of infant mortality on highways. The event also addressed the importance of children’s civic engagement towards the environment through ethical and responsible mobility.
MCM presented the FIA Foundation's campaign "Save Kids Lives" and expressed its intention to address the threats Moroccan children face on public roads.  The junior parliamentarians were invited to join in this cause in order to build a "safe Morocco that ensures children’s survival, participation, development and protection". The invitation was accepted as both parties agreed to look into the opportunities for substantial cooperation in a near future.
The meeting was organised in collaboration with the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child (ONDE).
