London 2012 Olympics: The Camping and Caravanning Club Travel Advice
Publication date: 30 August 2011
In light of the increased number of visitors who will visit London for the Olympic Games during the summer of 2012, The Camping and Caravanning Club has announced it will operate five campsites to coincide with the event. All of the sites will be within easy reach of the Olympic Park and Olympic Stadium with journey times, by public transport, of approximately 5 - 30 minutes.
The campsites will be managed by The Camping and Caravanning Club, which has over 100 years’ experience in operating campsites with 109 award winning sites across the whole of the UK. The five event campsites will be available to members and non-members of the Club. The price to camp will be £30 per night based on a minimum 3 night stay and will include showers, toilets, catering and entertainment facilities. For more information and details on how to book please visit: www.2012camping.co.uk.
Visitors from overseas are also welcome to use the Club’s own Worldwide “Carefree Travel Service” for travel arrangements to the UK who are able to provide ferry crossings at discounted rates as well as flights and hotel arrangements, if required. The Camping and Caravanning Club is not a sponsor of, or in any way associated with, the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympic Games.
