Club news: Life-saving charity appoints Ferry Smith as its new chairman

Publication date: 06 July 2016

EuroRAP, the charity dedicated to saving lives on Europe’s roads through safer infrastructure, is delighted to announce that Ferry Smith has been appointed as its new chairman.

Ferry is a well-known figure in European road safety through his work as Director of Public Affairs for the Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB). He succeeds John Dawson who served as chairman of EuroRAP since its foundation in 2002.

Ferry said: "It’s a great privilege to be appointed as chairman of EuroRAP. The next few years are an exciting and challenging time for our organisation as we work towards halving deaths and serious injuries on Europe’s roads by 2020."
