iMobility Challenge in Strasbourg

Published on: 8 October 2013

On the side lines of the World Rally Championship in Alsace, the fourth edition of ‘le Village de la Mobilité Responsable’ was organised by the Automobile Club Association (ACA) in France in partnership with the French Motor Sports Federation (FFSA) and the French government. ‘Le Village de la Mobilité Responsable’ is the key event in France to spread public awareness of responsible driving behaviour. The event took place from 3 to 6 October 2013 at Zenith Europe in Strasbourg.

Approximately 6000 visitors attended the event and became more familiar with new transport technologies. Road safety, ecodriving and sustainable mobility were the keywords for this year’s event which was sponsored by Sébastien Loeb, long time member of the ACA. The event included a vast pavilion of interactive demonstrations. The iMobility Challenge was represented by its mascot iMo, an ecodriving simulator and a demonstration of the eCall (emergency call) services provided by the HeERO project.
