Club News: IAM calls for traffic education to become part of the UK's National Curriculum

Publication date: 14 January 2015

The Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) has called for traffic education to become an integral part of the UK's National Curriculum, in an effort to cut the number of young people killed and injured on UK roads.

A recent Traffic Safety Education survey done by FIA Region I shows that only 7 out of 15 EU countries have mandatory traffic education in schools; the remaining countries follow voluntary programmes to teach children about road safety.
