High level conference on connected cars

On 17 May 2016, Connected Cars Europe will bring together high-level policymakers, including Günther Oettinger, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society, key industry representatives from the automotive, telecoms and tech industries to debate the way forward for the connected car ecosystem in Europe and globally in an event to be held in Brussels.
The event will focus on developing the right regulatory framework for this dynamic new sector, as well as on consumer demands, changing business models and opportunities for cross-sector collaboration.
FIA Region I Director General, Jacob Bangsgaard will present the My Car My Data campaign and update participants about the need to consider consumers’ demands when it comes to connectivity.
Other speakers at the event will include Henrik Hololei, Director-General for Transport and Mobility, European Commission, as well as high-level representatives from the European Commission's DG CONNECT, DG MOVE, DG GROW, DG JUST; ACEA; the GSMA and General Motors.
