Club news: TTOK trains motorcycle couriers in Turkey

Publication date: 25 July 2015

Touring and Automobile Club of Turkey (TTOK) launched a road safety education project for motorcycle couriers. There are approximately 10,000 motorcycle couriers in Turkey, and most of them lack the basic information regarding safe riding and proper use of safety equipment.

The goal of the project is to educate 10,000 motorcycle couriers on road safety techniques and motorcycle safety equipment use, as well as remind them about traffic laws, aiming to significantly decrease the amount of traffic accidents in the country.

The project was kicked off in November 2014, and so far 3,000 participants have been trained by the Club. Participation in the project is free of charge, and all the participants are receive with a motorcycle crash helmet and a high-visibility vest upon completion.
