Club news: RACE Driver Academy trains young drivers in Spain

Publication date: 21 September 2016

To reach out to younger drivers, RACE has created a new Driver's Academy in partnership with Red Bull. In just over three months, more than 500 young drivers have been trained at the Jarama Racing Circuit in Madrid.

With the aim of reducing road fatalities, RACE and Red Bull teamed up to launch the Drivers' Academy RACE-Red Bull, a novel concept that, in this first phase, is aimed at young motorists who will be able to learn both through practical and theoretical courses how to become safer drivers.

The academy has a variety of exercises for young people to better understand the performance of their vehicle while in traffic. Many students came to the academy with their own vehicles, so that they could better understand the behaviour of their own car.

This new academy is recommended for people who have just taken out a driving license as well as for drivers with years of experience seeking to improve their driving skills.
