Club news: ÖAMTC appoints Gottfried Wanitschek as President

Mr. Gottfried Wanitschek has been elected as the new President of ÖAMTC upon the retirement of the former President, Werner Kraus. His former position was as Vice President of the Club where he served a term of five years. Under his presidency, ÖAMTC will continue its active role within the FIA and its collaboration with the network of Clubs.

 

Mr. Wanitschek graduated in Law at the University of Vienna, as well as in Insurance and International Studies, and later became the Managing Director of a media print publishing house.  He was also a member of the Managing Board of UNIQA Insurance Company from 1997 to 2012.  Since 2013, he has been a managing partner of GWBI Investment GMBH. Amongst other honorary roles, he is also the Vice President of the Red Cross of the Austrian province Burgenland and a member of the Supervisory Board of the Haydn Foundation.
