Club news: ATCUAE announces the launch of Formula 4 in UAE

On 2 February 2016, the FIA Accredited Formula 4 Championship was officially launched in the Untired Arab Emirates. The event took place in the Burj Plaza area in Donwtown Dubai and was attended by President of the Automobile and Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) and President of the Emirates Motor Sport Federation, Mohammed ben Sulayem.  The Championship would be organised and supervised by the ATCUAE and is the first of its kind in the Middle East and Africa.

 

The Formula 4 UAE Championship is open to licensed drivers from the FIA MENA region aged 15 and above and will feature 18 races which will be held over 6 events in the period between October 2016 and March 2017.

 

In a statement the President of ATCUAE, H.E Mohammed ben Sulayem, welcomed the launch and expressed his gratitude for the support which FIA and its President Jean Todt have granted the Club.
