Club news: ANWB discontinues app for senior members

Publication date: 24 April 2017

The Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB) has chosen not to continue its Personal Assistance app which was launched in April 2016 for members that are 65 years and older.  The purpose of the app was to make it more convenient for senior members to contact ANWB Emergency Centre by simply pressing a button.

Unfortunately, the receptiveness of the app lagged far behind the goals and extra marketing efforts did not render significate growth results. Although the senior members found the app interesting and attractive, they were not keen on using it themselves. Consequently, ANWB decided not to move forward with the app. However, the project group ‘Strategy Personal Assistance’, will continue to study market developments and trends for new ways to improve ANWB’s services.
