Club news: BIHAMK awareness campaign for road safety

Publication date: 17 June 2014

On 7 June 2014, the Bosnian Club BIHAMK organised the campaign “Safe steps through life” in order to raise drivers’ awareness of children as equal participants in traffic and to increase awareness in children about potential road dangers. The educational contest aimed to making drivers conscious of children’s presence on roads, while teaching the pupils road safety rules. Additionally, during the campaign, children had the opportunity to compete in a drawing contest and a bike riding contest.

BIHAMK organised the event in line with the UN campaign “MYWorld2015” in order to draw attention among citizens about the need for safer roads and succeeded to gather over 100,000 votes for better traffic and roads to support the FIA global campaign.

The four finalists will have the chance to represent Bosnia and Herzegovina to the 29th FIA European Traffic Education Contest 2014 in Lillestromu, Norway.
