Publication date: 09 November 2016

The Automobile & Touring Club of the UAE (ATCUAE) is working on the 2nd edition of the International Conference on Future Mobility (ICFM 2016) which will be held on 14 – 15 November in Dubai. Speakers will include high-level policymakers, industry and stakeholders.

The event was launched last year by the Emirates Authority for Standardization and Metrology (ESMA) with the support of the ATCUAE. The inaugural edition of the conference was a tremendous success with more than 230 international delegates representing over 90 organisations, including government authorities, regulators, automobile manufacturers, distributors, key industry players and media.

As a part of Dubai’s strategy to become the smartest city in the world and achieve a sustainable economy in the UAE, it was announced that 25 per cent of all public transport systems in the country will be smart and automated by 2030. This strategy is expected to deliver an annual saving and economic returns of up to AED 22 billion. With focus on autonomous, smart, clean and connected mobility, the two days ICFM 2016 conference, will be an important platform for government authorities, automotive consultants, manufacturers and other relevant industry players to exchange ideas, understand the best practices and gain knowledge about the latest global developments and advancements in technology.
