Club news: Jean Todt discusses motorsport with ATC UAE

On 9 March, FIA President Jean Todt met with the President of the Automobile and Touring Club for United Arab Emirates (ATC UAE) Mohammed Ben Sulayem in Geneva in order to review the development of motorsport in the UAE. The meeting concided with the 10th anniversary of Mr Sulayem’s leadership of the Club as well as with the 50th anniversary of the ATC UAE. Jean Todt's 50th year in motorsport was also marked during the meeting.


The meeting surrounded motorsport issues in the UAE, including the recent introduction of Formula 4, the first of its kind in the region, the growing popularity of the Bajas events in recent years as well as the future plans for the development of the ATCUAE. Sulayem outlined the Club’s strategy for the development of the ATCUAE E-Academy, which will be the first E-Learning platform for motorsport officials.
