AMZS named Road Patrol Team of the Year

Publication date: 20 September 2016

FIA Region I and ARC Europe Group held the Road Patrol Training for Excellence on 19 - 21 September in Croatia with 16 road patrol teams from throughout Europe. Following three days of training, AMZS from Slovenia was awarded the title Road Patrol Team of the Year, ÖAMTC from Austria in second place and TCS from Switzerland in third place. Participants learned the latest techniques and best practices.

Jacob Bangsgaard, FIA Region I Director General, said: 'The Road Patrol Training for Excellence has become a platform for strong collaboration. We partner with ARC Europe Group and the participants benefit from the expertise of trainers from three different countries. I hope that all of the teams that participate in this event leave with the best skils to help motorists in need'.

Alexander Zerzaihi, ARC Europe Group Director Operations & Network, said: 'We see the value in helping road patrol teams offer the highest quality of service, which is why are very happy to be co-organisers of this event. It is clear that combining our expertise and knowledge on roadside assistance will bring about the best outcome for participants and eventually stranded drivers as well.'

This year Touring Club Belgium (TCB) joined teams from Royal Dutch Touring Club (ANWB), the Automobile Association (AA) UK and Club Assist as trainers for the participants.
