Legal and Consumer Affairs Commission

The aims of the Commission are:

  • the improvement of FIA members' legal position and enforcement of their consumer rights in the areas of motoring, mobility, tourism and safety through the development of legal opinions, recommendations and where possible, legal actions;
      

  • worldwide exchange of legal information (legislation or jurisprudence), practices and experience in the above mentioned areas between FIA Clubs in order to improve or extend the knowledge and advice available to club members, as well as to further develop the legal services at their disposal;
      

  • preparation of proposals for policy statements and recommendations on a regional or global level addressed to the FIA Region I Management Council and subsequently other relevant FIA bodies on all matters falling within the competence of the Commission.

PLEASE NOTE: In Copenhagen the members of the Commission expressed the wish to re-establish the Commission on a worldwide level - therefore starting from 2010 no documents will be featured under the Region I website any more!
