To mark the occasion, the CLEPA, eSafetyAware, and the FIA invite the road safety community and the general public to join a walk led by EC Vice President Kallas for pedestrian safety (beginning at Schuman Roundabout at 16:00) and to experience demonstrations of advanced life-saving vehicle technologies at Autoworld (14:00-20:00).

Royal Dutch Touring Club ANWB has reached a milestone. Since the programme’s launch in 2006, ANWB Streetwise – the club’s road safety awareness programme – has made one million kids “streetwise”. Six ANWB Streetwise teams of professional instructors work nationwide to teach some 200,000 children each year.

This week, 65 000 members of the Swedish Motorcyclist Association, SMC, get a Medical Card kit. It includes four stickers to add on the helmet/s and a card for medical information to put between the shell and padding of the helmet. With this effort, SMC hope to save a few lives per year through fast and adequate rescue in case of an accident.
