World Health Day 2004 focuses on Road Safety

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has decided to dedicate its annual World Health Day - taking place today - to the prevention of road traffic injuries. According to WHO, traffic accidents in Europe kill each year about 127.000 people, injure some 2,4 million and kill more people aged 5-29 than any other cause of death.
