SATA launches road assistance across Saudi Arabia and beyond

Publication date: 16 November 2011

This news brings a welcome peace of mind to Saudi motorists traveling not only within Saudi Arabia but also to nearby countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and Yemen. Gulf Cooperation Council countries are covered as well by the newly re-launched SATA Road Assistance service.

“It is really satisfying to see many positive results from our efforts in re-structuring SATA operations and management. We felt that Saudi motorists were in real need of a helping hand as they undertook long journeys across and beyond the country. Our country is really spread out and driving can sometimes present unexpected problems for our motorists - SATA is here to help now”, Mr. Riyadh S. Almalik - President SATA announced at the launching ceremony.

SATA has finally targeted this long-standing requirement of the Saudi motoring community. This service was provided by SATA in the 1980’s and early 1990’s, and now SATA are delighted to bring it back with a number of updates and improvements.

Motorists having the SATA Road Assist membership can avail of emergency services for car problems such as flat tires, battery failure, or even a ride to the nearest population center from the site of an accident. The unique SATA Road Assist membership is being offered free of charge to all SATA CPD (Triptyque) and IDP (International Driving Permit) customers for a limited time only.
