Road Safety In Kenya: Stakeholders Conference

Being an active member of the National Road Safety Council of Kenya (NRSC), the AA of Kenya fully participated in the Road Safety Stakeholders Conference on 19th October 2010, at the Bomas of Kenya. Several other issues were highlighted at the conference but the main focus remained on Road Safety.

This was the first ever platform in Kenya at the national level to deliberate on road safety, assume ownership, take a stand and act decisively, to mitigate the avoidable human suffering and this was underscored by the large attendance of the delegates, championed by the President of Kenya Hon Mwai Kibaki.

Others who addressed the conference included the Chairman of the National Road Safety Council Dr Cyrus Njiru and the Director General of Automobile Association of Kenya Mr. David Njoroge.

In partnership with the Government Ministries and Institutions such the NRSC and International bodies such as the iRAP, the AA of Kenya has remained at the forefront in the fight against the escalating road carnage in Kenya.
