Club News: Norway’s prime minister and top politicians join NAF campaign “Roadside assistance to the politicians”

    21 September 2017

Norges Automobil-Forbund (NAF) has launched a new campaign to showcase their role as a link between politicians and the public. The Club has a strong voice in the mobility debate with over 500,000 members. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the influence NAF members have. The campaign involves politicians posing questions on mobility topics to NAF members.

All party leaders in the eight political parties represented in Norway’s parliament have joined the campaign. On the campaign website, each party leader asks a question to NAF members, highlighting different problems, such as: congestion in cities, getting more electric cars on Norwegian roads or road safety. Through these interactions, the members of NAF are helping to shape the political debate on mobility.

NAF has experienced huge engagement with the campaign. More than 30,000 people have visited the campaign website, providing more than 10,000 answers. The campaign has been promoted on Facebook and other social media, and has created lots of engagement and many fruitful debates.
