Club News: LAS introduces the first Generation Z Academy in Lithuania

    14 February 2018

The Lietuvos Autosiandienmobilininkų Sąjungos (LAS) has opened the Generation Z Academy, to educate 7-15 year olds on road safety and proper road behavior.

Students attending the academy will receive theoretical and practical lessons, starting with general traffic rules. Lessons will cover the proper use of protective equipment, like reflective gear or helmets, and good behaviour at intersections, like pedestrian crossing rules.

Three schools will participate in the LAS Generation Z Academy. The Club is preparing a similar training programme for adults and aims to create 10 academies in the country by 2020. The project will begin with a test phase from February to March to refine the curriculum and the academy should be up and running by September 2018.
