FIA Region I invites you to debate the controversial Eurovignette reforms with MEP Georges Bach. The breakfast event will take place on 8 February 2018 from 8:00 – 9:30 in the Member’s Salon, European Parliament, Strasbourg.

During the event, Prof. Dr. Martin Nettesheim from the University of Tübingen will present a new study entitled ‘the Reform of Directive 1999/62/EC EU Competences, Subsidiarity, Proportionality’ to lawmakers and stakeholders. The study concludes that the European Commission does not have a sufficiently strong legal basis to justify an extension of the Eurovignette to passenger cars and that member states are in the best position to decide upon national charging systems for passenger cars.
