    EU Project Assistant

    Duration: 6 months, full-time

    We are currently seeking to recruit a full-time (m/f) EU Project Assistant for a duration of 6 months.

    The Project Assistant will be assisting the Programmes Director with activities connected to the European Union funded projects; this requires close cooperation with external partners.

    Tasks and responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will have the following tasks and responsibilities:

    • Ensure a smooth, efficient and effective day-to-day operation
    • Create, manage and support social media accounts
    • Development and maintenance of websites
    • Create, implement and keep track of action plans
    • Follow and administrate project work
    • Keeping track of project related expenditures, respecting accounting procedures
    • Support the development and implementation of surveys and dissemination material for external audiences
    • Support the Programmes Director for the organisation of meetings, workshops and webinars

    Profile:

    The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

    • University degree in a related field or equivalent
    • Communication skills: A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (C2 level); any additional language(s) an advantage
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools and web content management (WordPress)
    • Knowledge of EU project management
    • Prior event planning experience is an advantage
    • Knowledge of current mobility developments and challenges, knowledge of the European institutions is an advantage

    • Be a fast learner, pro-active and flexible

    Policy Intern

    Duration: 4 to 6 months (agreement with university necessary)

    Starting date: 1 March 2018

    The role:

    The tasks would be mainly focused on policy support, working together with the Policy Director and Policy Managers.

    Tasks would include but not be strictly limited to:

    • Support in policy monitoring, drafting news items & summaries, support events organisation and lobbying strategies
    • Input information on our website and policy monitoring tools
    • General administrative support like drafting of documents, preparing presentations
    • Providing information for communications activities
    • Participate in internal and external meeting activities

    Profile:

    University student seeking work experience in Brussels within an international team. Qualities required include a high level of English both written and spoken, and good analytical skills. Knowledge of the EU decision-making process is a plus but is not required.

    We are offering a full-time internship, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), from 9-18h.

    If you are not currently a student, you are not eligible for this position.

    A stipend will be given covering a part of the living costs in Brussels

    Communications & Events Intern

    Duration: 5-6 months, full-time (agreement with university necessary)

    Starting date: 1 March 2018

    The role:
    This internship would suit a student looking to grow a variety of skills in the Brussels policy / communications environment. Tasks will focus on communications, working together with the Head of Communications, as well as assisting the Region I with events.

    Tasks would include but not be strictly limited to:

    • Drafting articles / speeches
    • Updating websites
    • Supporting the development of new websites
    • Supporting administrative tasks
    • Proofreading
    • Video recording and editing
    • Layout/design of documentation
    • Press monitoring
    • Inventory of materials both digital and printed
    • Uploading photos / videos / publications
    • Support for social media accounts
    • Researching website statistics / analytics
    • Working with suppliers for website/print material development
    • Event support

    Profile:

    University student seeking work experience in Brussels within an international team. Qualities required include: a high level of English both written and spoken; creativity; a fast learner; good analytical skills; and a determination to get the job done right. The ideal candidate is organised, enthusiastic, with an ability to prioritise time-sensitive assignments and an eye for detail. A knowledge of html/Wordpress, Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Premier Pro and active social media presence is a plus.

    We are offering a full-time internship, 5 days a week (Monday-Friday), from 9-18.
